After being assigned the broad prompt of making a series with light painting using a series of 5 images I ended up with this series called "The Feeling of Loneliness." I stumbled upon this specific technique within light painting which I like to call "ghosting" - essentially you make the exposure longer than you might need, and light paint but escape the frame after only a few second, yet continue to shine some light around. It creates these eerie and ghostly shots that have people - yet seem to lack a form. i specifically tried to muddle specific facial features to begin to make these portraits more universal. They portray my own feeling of loneliness that I have experienced being alone in my dorm room in the late evenings when I am the only one awake as well as in the early mornings. They follow in a series as organized above.
